Tellepsen has been chosen to renovate the Harriet and Joe Foster Family YMCA in the Garden Oaks/Oak Forest area north of the Heights.
The first phase of the renovations began June 14 and is expected to be complete in September. The nonprofit said the first phase will primarily focus on the wellness center, adding square footage for more strength and cardiovascular equipment pieces, and upgrading the light and circulation. The wellness center will also expand into the existing office space, and improvements will be made to the group exercise studios.
