Tadd Tellepsen is a fourth generation family owner of a company with over a century of impact. Tadd is an adaptive leader who leverages the timeless values of Tellepsen while innovating in a high-technology built environment. Tadd holds a BS in Economics from Southern Methodist University and an MBA from Houston Baptist University, where he was honored as HBU “Volunteer of the Year” and received the “Alumni Meritorious Award” for his contributions. With a client-first mentality and a commitment to buildings of significance, Tadd looks forward to spearheading the next 100 years of Tellepsen impact.

Tadd Tellepsen

Terry is responsible for strategic leadership and the day-to-day direction of company operations. Terry has a passion for building and is focused on ensuring the Tellepsen organization provides outstanding service to every client. Terry has spent his entire career at Tellepsen, working in or closely with every department in the business. Along the way, Terry has dedicated much of his time to the continuous improvement of the company and its employees. Developing the next generation of builders is another of Terry’s top priorities. He consistently challenges the team to improve so that Tellepsen remains the best in the business. Terry is a proud member of the Texas A&M University Class of 2002, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Science.

Matt Elswick joined Tellepsen in January 2022 and brings over 10 years of financial management experience within the construction industry and related services. His career started in the field which is where he developed his passion for providing high-class service to internal stakeholders and most importantly, customers. Matt brings a “field first focused” approach to our support function organization whereby teams are consistently challenged to influence the score versus simply keeping the score. Before joining Tellepsen, he was APTIM’s Vice President of Finance for their Construction, Maintenance, and Environmental business units. Previously he held various leadership positions within Chicago Bridge & Iron (CB&I) and The Shaw Group. Matt's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Business Administration from Southeastern Louisiana University.

Trent Tellepsen is the President of BCS, where he has successfully grown the organization’s capacity to handle complex work with the utmost safety measures in place. Trent has been in the construction industry for over 20 years and has continually demonstrated his commitment to purpose-driven work. A native Houstonian, Trent graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science degree. Trent and his wife of 18 years, Andrea, have two sons and a daughter.

Howard Tellepsen is the previous CEO of Tellepsen, where he has expanded upon a multi-generational dedication to building projects of significance that greatly impact the Houston community. As “builders and believers,” Tellepsen has changed the lives of decades of Houstonians, creating shared spaces where people work, play, live, learn and worship. Howard is a member of the Engineering Hall of Fame and is the recipient of the Alumni Distinguished Service Award from Georgia Tech, where he established the Howard T. Tellepsen Endowed Chair for the School of Civil Engineering. He continues his commitment to Houston by acting as Chairman and Board Member for organizations such as the St. Luke’s Foundation, the YMCA Foundation and Boy Scouts of America.

Howard Tellepsen

Over his past 40 years with Tellepsen, Steve’s responsibilities have continually grown with the evolution of the Company. He has brought his valuable operations perspective along with his strong business acumen to each of his roles, including Director, COO, CFO, VP, Manager of Operations, Safety Director, and Project Manager. Today, as Vice-Chairman of the Tellepsen Advisory Board, he provides unique strategic leadership and guidance to Tellepsen's management. During his day-to-day operations leadership responsibilities, Steve was instrumental in establishing high-performing teams along with proven management and technical processes including Tellepsen’s World Class Safety and Quality Programs. Steve holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and an M.B.A. From the University of Texas.
