Tadd is an adaptive leader who leverages the timeless values of Tellepsen while innovating in a high-technology built environment. Tadd holds a BS in Economics from Southern Methodist University and an MBA from Houston Baptist University, where he was honored as HBU “Volunteer of the Year” and received the “Alumni Meritorious Award” for his contributions. With a client-first mentality and a commitment to buildings of significance, Tadd looks forward to spearheading the next 100 years of Tellepsen impact.

Tadd Tellepsen

Steve Olson is COO of the commercial companies at Tellepsen—Builders, Interiors, Services and Building Concrete Solutions. A professional engineer and certified construction manager, Steve leads operations with a focus on strategic planning, client relationships, project delivery excellence and high performing teams. A senior executive with experience leading construction firms in Houston, Dallas and across the nation, Steve brings 35+ years of success managing complex commercial and industrial projects and companies to his role. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Bradley University, with graduate-level studies in Construction Management (University of California) and Business Administration (Keller Graduate School). Recognized as “Construction Good Scout of the Year” by the Longhorn Council of Boy Scouts of America, Steve is deeply committed to giving back to the community and growing Tellepsen’s work for decades onward.

Steve Olson

Charles Sommer has over 30 years of financial management experience, including seven years in the audit practice of Arthur Andersen, and nine years as the corporate controller of several publicly traded companies. For the past 17 years, Charles has provided administrative and technical direction to all financial operations of Tellepsen. Additionally, he has established and currently manages the processes for Accounting, Technology & Innovation, Human Resources and Risk Management. Charles holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas.

Builders

Terry is responsible for strategic leadership and day-to-day direction of all Builders operations. Terry has a passion for building and is focused on ensuring the Tellepsen organization provides outstanding service to every client. Terry has spent his entire career at Tellepsen, working in or closely with every department in the business. Along the way, Terry has dedicated much of his time on continuous improvement of the company and its employees. Developing the next generation of builders is another of Terry’s top priorities. He consistently challenges the team to improve so that Tellepsen remains the best in the business. Terry is a proud member of the Texas A&M University Class of 2002, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Science.

Industrial

Charles “Chip” Fenoglio is responsible for the operations and profitability of the Industrial company at Tellepsen. Chip has over 30 years of experience in management, with project revenue ranging from $500,000 to over $200mm. His responsibilities include revenue budgeting and forecasting, project execution and profitability, procedures and policy development, and preparing and presenting company statistics, capabilities, and messaging to clients.

Trent Tellepsen is the President of BCS, where he has successfully grown the organization’s capacity to handle complex work with the utmost safety measures in place. Trent been in the construction industry for over 20 years and has continually demonstrated his commitment to purpose-driven work. A native Houstonian, Trent graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science degree. Trent and his wife of 16 years, Andrea, have two sons and a daughter.

Interiors

Steve Mechler develops lifetime relationships. Clients who work with him frequently request him again and again. With over 36 years of experience in the industry, Steve now serves as the President of the Interiors company at Tellepsen. After graduating from Texas A&M with a degree in building construction, Steve settled in Houston to begin his long, distinguished construction career. Steve’s path led him to Tellepsen in 2017 by way of acquisition. He now oversees the operations of tenant build-out and ground up in the Greater Houston area. Steve has been married to his wife Laurie for 34 years and together they have two grown daughters, Kathleen and Emily. In his spare time, Steve and his wife are active in their church and serving their community, supporting causes like Faith in Practice.

Eric Dipasquale is an executive with over 25 years of experience managing capital construction projects and developing diverse, client-focused teams across multiple market sectors. Eric is responsible for leadership and growth of the fifth and newest company in the Tellepsen family of companies, Services. Services was established to provide a quality option of detailed construction services that add value beyond Builders and Interiors project delivery models. Services is a full service General Contractor created to execute specialized, fast-paced projects, with the ability to self-perform interior finishes with our own skilled trade work force. Eric earned his MBA at Texas A&M.

Howard Tellepsen is the previous CEO of Tellepsen, where he has expanded upon a multi-generational dedication to building projects of significance that greatly impact the Houston community. As “builders and believers,” Tellepsen has changed the lives of decades of Houstonians, creating shared spaces where people work, play, live, learn and worship. Howard is a member of the Engineering Hall of Fame and is the recipient of the Alumni Distinguished Service Award from Georgia Tech, where he established the Howard T. Tellepsen Endowed Chair for the School of Civil Engineering. He continues his commitment to Houston by acting as Chairman and Board Member for organizations such as the St. Luke’s Foundation, the YMCA Foundation and Boy Scouts of America.

Over the his past 40 years with Tellepsen, Steve’s responsibilities have continually grown with the evolution of the Tellepsen Family of Companies. He has brought his valuable operations perspective along with his strong business acumen to each of his roles, including Director, COO, CFO, VP, Manager of Operations, Safety Director and Project Manager. Today, as Vice-Chairman of the Tellepsen Advisory Board, he provides unique strategic leadership and guidance to the Tellepsen Family of Companies. During his day to day operations leadership responsibilities, Steve was instrumental in establishing high performing teams along with proven management and technical processes including Tellepsen’s World Class Safety and Quality Programs. Steve holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and an M.B.A. From University of Texas.
