About the Project

The Memorial Park Eastern Glades project converted 100-acres of previously inaccessible parkland into a beautiful new park in Houston. Construction included new landscape and hardscape areas with decomposed granite trails, lawns, paver/stone plazas and terraces, planting zones, a 5.5-acre lake, native wetlands, and boardwalk decking at the lake perimeter and throughout the woods, food truck area, and chalk wall. Additionally, Tellepsen constructed three picnic pavilions and a new restroom building. Each building has a steel structure, and wood tongue & groove deck with metal roofing. The picnic pavilions contain masonry fireplaces and tables.
