About the Project

The Houston Food Bank provides for the nutritional needs of families across the greater Houston area. They feed the hungry by distributing 53 million nutritious meals each year to nearly 500 hunger relief agencies in 18 counties in Southeast Texas. Tellepsen partnered with the Bank on the construction of this 300,000-square-foot Distribution Center which included the renovation and reconfiguration of an existing food storage warehouse with freezers, coolers and dry goods warehouse with receiving, sorting, repacking and shipping area. It also included new corporate offices and a conference center. This project received the Development of Distinction Award by the Houston District Council of the Urban Land Institute (ULI).
