About the Project

The mission of The Children’s Assessment Center is to provide a professional, compassionate, and coordinated approach to the treatment of sexually abused children and their families and to serve as an advocate for all children in our community. The Center houses one of the largest advocacy programs in the nation and has provided services for more than 50,000 sexually abused children in our community since 2000, and averages approximately 5,000 clients annually. Constructed on a very dense urban site in Rice Village, the new Center will be completed in three phases with a total construction value in excess of $24 million. The project includes 89,000-square-feet of new construction, 55,000-square-feet of renovation, and an adjoining 400-space precast parking garage.
