About the Project

The new 150,000-square-foot elementary school was constructed on an occupied campus. The project was completed 64 days ahead of schedule despite 37 days of rain delays. The new buildings were constructed and the existing school demolished in 10 months with no disruption to the ongoing academic program. The building received LEED Silver Certification for excellence in sustainable design and construction. Through efficient teamwork and meticulous attention to detail Piney Point Elementary received the distinction of being the only newly constructed school in the HISD Bond Program to be completed prior to the start of the target school year.
