About the Project

Tellepsen completed the construction of a 77,000 square foot building which serves as the home to Rice University's School of Social Sciences. The facility serves to enhance research productivity and education, invigorate the collaborative culture of engineering and sciences, spur translation of research and entrepreneurship and enable strategic engagement with local industry. This facility also consists of a state-of-the-art classroom space, student lounges, gathering spaces for researchers to collaborate, flexible office spaces and a beautiful inner courtyard. The most unique aspect of this project is that it has the most prominent curtain wall of any building on the entire Rice University campus, resulting in a modern look while incorporating more traditional Rice finishes.
